Our Philosophy
The education philosophy of CCCS is based on the truth that God’s Word is the standard for all truth, and that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and authoritative Word of God. God has created and sustains all things. Therefore, the universe and man were created by God to glorify Him. Because of the sin nature of man, he cannot, through his own efforts, know or glorify God. It is only by man’s choosing of God’s free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, that he can enter into a true relationship with his Creator.
Working closely with parents and the church in all phases of the students’ development our responsibilities encompass the spiritual, mental, intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of our students. This philosophy promotes high academic standards helping students achieve skills in creative and critical thinking using a bibilcally-based curriculum. Therefore, the Bible cannot be treated only as a separate academic area, but must be the foundation and motivation force for all curriculum.
The Philosophy of Christian Education for Calvary Chapel Schools shall be the guiding tool to apply Biblical principles to teaching practices. All philosophies of subjects, policies of the school, curriculum materials and teaching methods shall conform to our Philosophy of Christian Education.
