Students entering the First through Sixth grades may register for The Calvary Christian School Summer School. This is a Bible-based program that consists of Chapel time, academic review, off-campus excursions,and other activities. Students will be taught by qualified teachers and assistants.
Parents may enroll their child in the program by mail or in person. A separate registration form must be completed for each student accompanied by full payment. Registration forms and checks, made payable to CCCS, should be mailed or delivered to: Calvary Chapel Christian School, 98-1016 Komo Mai Drive, Aiea, HI 96701.
Registration for the program is open on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited enrollment. Parents are encouraged to register promptly to ensure their child’s placement in the program. The registration deadline is June 3, 2016. Late registration fee $50.00.
TUITION AND FEES
The tuition ($1,200/student) for the program includes instructional materials and fees for excursions, other activities, and on-campus snacks.
No refunds will be given after the payment has been made, and there will be no pro-rating of days due to vacations, absences, etc. Calvary Chapel Christian School reserves the right to withdraw a student for disciplinary reasons after the program has begun.
Non-CCCS, Out-of-state and home school students must submit a physical examination and TB clearance (done in the U.S.) completed within the past 12 months and up-to-date immunization record upon registration. Forms received without health records will not be processed.
Classes are held daily from 8:00 am – 2:30 pm. No child should be dropped off any earlier than 7:45 am and left unsupervised on campus. Children MUST be picked up no later than 2:30 pm. Students who are not picked up by their parents by 2:30 pm will be charged a late fee of $20 for the first 15 minutes and/or half-hour and $25 for each half-hour after 2:30 pm (or any fraction thereof). Payment is due at time of pick-up. The CCCS Summer School program does not offer school enrichment programs before or after school hours.
ABSENCES AND TARDINESS
Parents or legal guardians should report any absences to the School Office (524.0846) by 8:00 a.m. Tardy students who arrive after 8:00 am must report to the School Office for a tardy slip before proceeding to class. For absences known ahead of time, a written note of absence should be sent to the School Office.
DISCIPLINE AND EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
All students are expected to behave appropriately inside and outside of the classrooms adhering to principles established in the Bible and showing respect and courtesy to fellow students and adults. Students who have difficulty adjusting to the social climate and expectations of the school may be dismissed from the program.
CCCS uniforms are not required to be worn during Summer School. However, we expect our students to look neat and clean and to wear appropriate attire. All students are required to wear shoes. Slippers are not permitted. Extreme hairstyles or clothes are not acceptable.
Appropriate attire for girls includes skirts, walking shorts (all no shorter than 3” above the knee), T-shirts, collared shirts, pants, and athletic shoes. The following is unacceptable attire: oversized clothing; tank tops, grubby T-shirts, crop tops, tops that look like undershirts; shirts advertising cigarettes, alcohol or drugs; shirts with obscene language or pictures and words with double meanings contrary to CCCS’s Christian philosophy; tight or short shorts; cut-offs; shorts or pants with frayed edges; bare-midriff; slippers; extreme hairstyles or unnatural colors.
Appropriate attire for boys includes t-shirts, collared shirts, long pants, walking shorts (no shorter than 3” above the knee), and athletic shoes. Hair must be neatly trimmed and should not extend below the nape of the neck or hang into the eyes. The following is unacceptable attire: oversized clothing tank tops; grubby t-shirts; crop tops; tops that look like undershirts; shirts advertising cigarettes, alcohol or drugs; shirts with obscene language or pictures and words with double meanings contrary to CCCS’s Christian philosophy; swimming trunks; shorts and jeans with frayed edges; overalls; slippers; earrings; extreme hairstyles or unnatural colors.
Lunches and drinks are to be provided by the parents of enrolled students.
Photographs and/or digital photos are taken on campus of Summer School activities. Some of these photos are subsequently used by CCCS in publications, promotional materials, and electronic media. By enrolling in the Summer School program, parents/students give permission for their likenesses to be used in this manner.
Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the CCCS campus. Use of or possession of tobacco (any form), alcoholic beverages, or drugs on campus or on field trips is forbidden. Violation of this rule may result in dismissal.
Students may not bring other children to school as visitors. We request all adult visitors to register with the Staff in the School Office.
CCCS is not equipped or able to attend to any special needs children due to the lack of adequate staff and facilities.
