The National Honor Society (NHS) and National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1921.
Calvary Chapel Christian School began participating in this organization in 2012. Since then, members of the National Honor Society have assisted the school in applying for accreditation, organizing the school library, offering tutoring services, advertising the school on The Fish radio station, participating in Its Academic Hawaii, and developing the Na Pueo Newsletter. In the past, the National Honor Society has also focused on helping the community by assisting with the collection of Operation Christmas Child shoe-boxes and organizing the Typhoon Haiyan Collection for the Philippine Relief.
