CALVARY CHAPEL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL

A Letter from Pastor Bill

Pastor-Bill-Circle

Parents and educators today are greatly concerned and deeply disturbed by the direction in which our public schools are headed. Calvary Chapel of Honolulu shares that concern.

A person’s most formative time of growth is during the Kindergarten and early Elementary schools years. This is a critical time, when emotional, moral, spiritual, and academic development takes place. It is with this in mind that we have determined to establish a Christian school.

I have heard it said: “Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character; sow a character, reap a destiny.” CCCS has researched and adopted the very best elements available in Christian education. We are committed to seeing your child become the person God desires him or her to be, and to realize His very best in their lives. We look forward to partnering with you in this eternal endeavor.

In Christ,
Pastor Bill Stonebraker

Our Administrative Pastor

As a ministry of Calvary Chapel of Honolulu, Calvary Chapel Christian School has been established since September 2003, to support Christian parents in the education and  spiritual growth of their children. We are a distinctively Christian school – meaning that we require at least one custodial parent to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and attend an evangelical Bible-teaching church on a regular basis.

Our faculty and staff are born-again believers, called by the Lord to teach and serve children. Faculty members also have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.

Daily assemblies and a weekly Chapel service instill the importance of honoring God and His authority. Prayer, worship, and a time of encouragement are a vital part of our students’ lives on campus. The classes are kept at manageable teacher-student ratios, and all classrooms are air conditioned.

We use Bob Jones University Press curriculum, which presents a Biblical world view and encourages critical thinking with an outstanding presentation. The Holy Bible is taught on every school day, and students are urged to live for Christ in both word and deed.

Physical Education is a part of our curriculum and is taught twice a week in our gymnasium or on our playing field. CCCS also provides its students with a wide array of educational opportunities, such as an annual Christmas play, Easter presentation, field trips, and other service venues.
